Becoming a PFAC Member
Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth's Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC) is seeking current and former patient/family member representation to join our Council. We welcome interested people who share our commitment to excellence in healthcare quality to join this influential Council.
An ideal PFAC member is one who is a good listener and can share insightful feedback on a wide range of healthcare topics. Candidates must be able to provide feedback with cooperative candor in a concise manner; commit to attending monthly PFAC meetings, and participate in projects that may require limited time outside of meetings.
PFAC meets monthly for 1.5-hour meetings, as well as works on projects at the request of hospital leadership. Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month from 5:30-7:00 pm with a light dinner included.
Examples of PFAC projects include: hosting “The Conversation Project” an end of life public awareness event, parking and signage improvements, patient registration improvements, and patient/family guidebook improvements.
