  • Quarterly physiological systems review course
  • Basic dysrhythmia workshop
  • Preceptor Development Program
  • Charge Nurse Development Program
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP recertification programs
  • Annual competency review program
  • Nursing Journal Club: A subgroup from the Nursing Practice Council, this team’s objective is to host a forum to review current literature on a clinical topic of interest to staff nurses
  • Schwartz Center Rounds: Forum to bring doctors, nurses and other caregivers together to discuss the human side of healthcare
  • BIDMC Silverman Institute for Health Care Quality and Safety Symposium: This annual symposium provides an opportunity for BID hospital staff to share experiences, network with colleagues, and learn about efforts to improve patient care, quality, and safety
  • Monthly professional journal table of contents service
  • Medical librarian
  • Kind Nurses Scholarship: Annual scholarship for those enrolled in nursing school sponsored by a generous benefactor in appreciation for the compassionate and professional nursing care he received while a patient
  • Jordan Hospital Club Scholarship: Awarded to BID Plymouth staff that successfully complete courses taken in anticipation of completion of nursing degrees (RN, BSN, MSN, LPN)
