Inpatient Breastfeeding Support

We encourage you to breastfeed your baby within 30 minutes to one hour after delivery. We stay by your side to help you feel comfortable feeding your baby. We ensure that your baby is latching correctly. And we can show you the best feeding positions to use.

If you choose to breastfeed, a lactation consultant will visit you each day you’re in the hospital. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions, address concerns and overcome any feeding challenges.

Our lactation specialists and nursing staff work with you and your partner to help you create a breastfeeding plan that’s right for your family.
