At Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Plymouth, our goal is to help you feel better about your breathing. Here, you'll find pulmonary care specialists who are experts in many types of lung disease and breathing disorders. They diagnose and treat chronic lung conditions and offer specialized lung care for hospitalized patients.

We're here for you if you have a chronic lung condition. We're also here for you if you develop a serious illness that requires pulmonary critical care. Our goal is to help you heal and live life as fully as possible.

Lung Cancer Screening

Finding lung cancer early offers the best chance of beating the disease. BID Plymouth has an expert team experienced in lung cancer screening.

To qualify, you must:

• Be 50 to 80 years old
• Be a current smoker or have quit smoking within the past 15 years
• Have a history of heavy smoking (one pack of cigarettes a day for 20 years, or two packs a day for 10 years, for example)

Screening requires a doctor's order. Speak with your primary care physician to find out if screening is right for you.
