This American Heart Association First Aid program outline is accredited by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health as a standard First Aid course and includes instruction in: assessment, bleeding & shock, wound care, dressings, burn care, chest & abdominal injuries, bone joint & muscle injuries, splinting, anaphylactic shock, sudden illness, poisoning, bites/stings, cold & heat, related emergencies, and rescue techniques.
