BID Plymouth provides primary care and anonymous counseling and testing for persons living with HIV/AIDS in Greater Plymouth through a federal Ryan White CARE Act (Title III) grant for Early Intervention Services. The CARE Act is funded through the AIDS Bureau of the U. S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). Referred to as the “ACCESS” Program, the collection of programs and services offered under the grant provide AIDS Comprehensive Care Education and Support Services. Through this program, patients can receive primary care services including physical examinations; treatment services and planning; laboratory testing; immunizations and screening; antiviral medications; referrals to specialty care and clinical trials as well as medical case management.
