Ian C. Paskowski, D.C., Medical Director, Medical Back Pain Program
Dr. Paskowski is a graduate of New York Chiropractic College, located in Seneca Falls, NY. He completed an internship and preceptorship at The National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, where his experience focused on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal/spine disorders.
Dr. Paskowski’s interest focus’s on spine related disorders and creating healthcare systems built around patient needs. As lead author, Dr. Paskowski recently published manuscript describes how healthcare be organized to meet patient needs, be quality driven and save cost, adding efficiency and value.
Dr. Paskowski is a former team physician at Bridgewater State College played hockey both collegiately and professionally. He resides in Plymouth with his wife and three children.
Gregory V. Mara, D.C., Associate Director, Spine Care Center
Dr. Mara Graduated cum laude from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He completed a clinical internship at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System Hospitals of West Haven and Newington, Connecticut. During that time he was part of an integrated medical team providing musculoskeletal healthcare to United States military veterans. He has served as a consulting and treating doctor for multiple athletic teams at the high school, collegiate and professional levels.
Dr.Mara’s clinical focus is on the diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal disorders, with a particular interest in myofascial pain syndromes and low back pain.
Talia Fenoglietto, D.C.
Dr. Fenoglietto earned a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University and is a Magna Cum Laude graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida. She completed a chiropractic externship program at the Rhode Island Spine Center in Pawtucket, Rhode Island where she continued her education in an interdisciplinary setting focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of spinal pain syndromes and pregnancy related low back pain. She is certified in the Graston technique and has completed training in the Mckenzie method of mechanical diagnosis and treatment of back pain.
Dr. Fenoglietto’s clinical focus is the treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal conditions with a particular interest in low back pain,active rehabilitation, and pregnancy related musculoskeletal pain.
Matthew J. Schirmer, D.C.
Dr. Schirmer is a graduate of New York Chiropractic College in upstate New York. His experience includes working at the Rochester, NY Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic, St. Joseph's Neighborhood Center, and Monroe Community Hospital, NY. Dr. Schirmer's clinical interests include low back pain, headaches, and myofascial pain conditions.
Dr. Schirmer is completing studies at the Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy Institute (MDT®), the developers of the renowned McKenzie Method.
Samuel Staula, D.C.
Dr. Staula is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic. Growing up in the south shore area and attending Thayer Academy in Braintree before attaining his undergraduate degree at Hamilton College, provided him with a lasting connection with this region. As a member of the Spine Care Team, he is responsible for the triage of patients with spinal disorders from the Emergency Department and surrounding primary care physicians.
Dr. Staula’s primary goal as a practitioner is to formulate an accurate and timely diagnosis for his patients. By providing a customized treatment plan based on evidenced-based practices that address both spinal and myofacial components of an injury, he focuses on helping patients to become actively engaged in their own treatment and re-injury prevention involving thorough patient education.
Utilizing various treatment approaches such as Graston Technique, Myofacial Release Technique, Flexion/Extension-Distraction and Post Isometric Relaxation Technique, he is able to treat a variety of injuries. He has performed multiple independent medical examinations (IME) for insurance companies and is a member of the New England sports Medicine Council. Dr. Staula is currently working towards his post graduate degree in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy at the McKenzie Institute.
