Monitoring COVID-19: Keeping our Communities Healthy

VISITORS UPDATE: NOVEMBER 25, 2020

Before you visit a loved one at BID Plymouth, please read this important visitor information about our visitation guidelines, screening requirements and how to communicate with your loved one and his/her care team.

Our highest priority is the safety and wellbeing of our patients and staff.  As we continue to monitor COVID-19, we are temporarily restricting visitors:

For Inpatient Units, visitation has been restricted for all inpatient units, except in extenuating circumstances. In our Critical Care Center a patient may have one designated visitor per day during visiting hours: 11a-2p and 4p-7p, except in extenuating circumstances.

For Surgical Services, patient companions or escorts will be asked to wait until called for discharge, no visitors or companions will be allowed to remain in the care area due to social distancing needs.

For Ambulatory areas, a patient companion or escort may accompany the patient to the care area as necessary, however, may be asked to leave and wait outside the hospital and will be called after the patient’s visit due to social distancing guidelines and physical space constraints.

For the Emergency Department, one visitor allowed if all infection control and social distancing standards are able to be met, or as per care team for extenuating circumstances.

We know you are eager to visit and connect with your loved one, and we will work with each family to facilitate virtual connections until we can safely return to in-person visitation.

NOTE: All visitors to other areas will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms and must wear a mask during their visit.
