HOPEFEST Fundraiser to Support New Behavioral Health Program
The Jordan Hospital Club is proud to announce that it is supporting the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth Integrated Care Initiative to help address the dual challenges of behavioral health and substance abuse needs of individuals and families on the South Shore. Throughout the region, communities are struggling with a substance abuse epidemic that threatens the lives of individuals and weakens the fabric of families and communities.
The BID-Plymouth Integrated Care Initiative will bring together healthcare providers and local behavioral health programs in a coordinated model of care to better support those struggling with medical, behavioral health, and substance abuse needs.
As an independent, all volunteer, fundraising organization, the Jordan Hospital Club is helping BID-Plymouth shine a light on the issue and will host HOPEFEST on Saturday, September 27, in Plymouth to raise funds and awareness about the need for integrated behavioral and substance abuse care in the community.
“Mental health and substance abuse are generally topics that people are not comfortable talking about,” says Judi Vigna, president, Jordan Hospital Club. “The reality is, mental health and substance abuse is an epidemic in our communities. We created HOPEFEST to bring increased attention to the issue the same way that the Jordan Hospital Club has brought attention and community support to fighting cancer through the Polar Plunge.”
